Fly In Advanced Therapy - F.I.A.T.
The Fly In Advanced Therapy program is designed for owners who live quite distance from Colorado Springs but want the best possible arthritis care control available in North America. Of course, if an owner would rather drive to our facility, that is fine too. Once sincerely interested in the Fly In Advanced Therapy, we will work with you and your veterinarian to determine the best available care for your dog's needs. We will then coordinate with any commercial airline (including Pet Airways) which lands in the Denver or Colorado Springs area to meet your dog on arrival. Your dog will then come to Colorado Springs, have a full examination and other diagnostic work which may be required. Your dog will spend the night at a nearby boarding facility rather than in the hospital, except following surgery, if that is part of the plan. We will provide the prescribed care. When appropriate we will take your dog back to airport, verify s/he gets on the airplane and confirm the arrival on your end.
If you are interested in coming with your dog, we can also pick you up at the airport, or help with other arrangements, including hotels, transportation, sites to see, and things to do. Colorado Springs is a resort destination with much to offer.

Common therapies for which dogs come from a distance include:
-Autologous stem cell therapy
-BioScaffold therapy
-Polyacrilamide gel injections
These therapies are frequently combined with other modalities. This is planned in advance of arrival so there are no surprises.
