Myristol® Clinical Study for Dogs

Myristol® is a combination of 4 joint health ingredients: an omega-5 fatty acid (cetyl myristoleate), glucosamine HCl, MSM, and a mixture of individual and short chain amino acids (hydrolyzed collagen). Each ingredient supports joint health in its own unique way. The combination of ingredients was selected with this comprehensive approach in mind.  Based on the clinical data in horses, the Myristol® study is designed to determine its usefulness and efficacy in dogs with osteoarthritis.
This is a double-blinded , randomized, placebo controlled study.  This means that dogs are randomly assigned to a received the active Myristol® or a placebo but neither the  owner nor the evaluator know which one.  This “blinding” allows objective evaluation without bias of knowing the actual treatment.
To be eligible for this study dogs must meet the following criteria:
•Lameness of ONLY KNEE or HIP at least 3 months duration with NSAID(Rimadyl®. Derramax®, Metacam®, Zubrin®, Previcox®) therapy and INCOMPLETE alleviation of pain
•Radiographs verifying osteoarthritis within last six months (we can repeat these if necessary)
•No significant blood cell or biochemical abnormalities
•No urinary abnormalities
•No long acting corticosteroid within 8 weeks of entering study
Benefits to Clients:
